The T-800 is designed to generate high voltage output (up to 800V negative Sq. wave). Giving it the ability to feed enough energy for large low frequency probes. This dramatically aids in the inspectability of highly attenuative materials such as Cast austenitic, Bi-metallic welds, Inconel, heavy walled components, and aerospace composites. It can also be used as a remote pulser. The T-800 is designed to work with any UT instrument using any technique within the Ultrasonic method (e.g., CV, PAUT, ToFD, FMC).
How it works:
- Pulser trigger in – a.k.a. High Voltage in. The T-800 will trigger from the instruments transmitting pulser signal.
- TTL trigger in – a.k.a. Low Voltage in. The T-800 will trigger from an external sync or trigger signal. Such as an encoder for a Pulse on Position (POP) scheme.
- Generating its own pulse – The T-800 can internally generate pulses at a programmed rep rate without connecting to an instrument pulser. It will then transmit from the Pulser OUTPUT Lemo and synchronize to the instrument receiver using the TRIG / Sync output BNC.
